The timetable below is the studio’s regular week. Adult classes run on weekday evenings from 18:00, with late-morning classes on Saturday and Sunday; children’s groups take the weekday afternoons from 15:00 and Saturday mornings. Each class belongs to a membership, but every adult class can also be booked as a single class — pick the day and time in the app, and your place is reserved.

Classes are taught in English, German and Russian in groups of at most eight. Public holidays in Austria are class-free and already reflected in the monthly prices; during the summer the week may be reduced, and any change is announced in the app and by email to everyone booked.

How the week is built

Adults train at three levels. Ballet Zero, for absolute beginners, is Floor Barre on Thursday at 18:00 and Ballet Barre for absolute beginners on Saturday at 11:30. Ballet Set Light, for beginners with some experience, is Floor Barre on Tuesday at 19:15, Ballet Barre on Thursday at 19:10 and Stretching Light straight after at 20:00. Ballet Set, intermediate to advanced, is Ballerina Workout on Monday at 19:00, the full Ballet Class on Wednesday and Friday at 19:00 and Stretching on Sunday at 11:30 — with Première Pointe on Saturday at 15:00 for those ready for pointe work.

Children are grouped by age. Pre-Ballet (3–4) runs Wednesday and Friday at 15:00 or, as a weekend option, Saturday at 10:00; Primary Ballet (5–7) Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 16:00; Junior Ballet (8–12) Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 17:00; Teen Ballet (12–14) Tuesday at 18:00 and Saturday at 13:00. The Pre-Professional Junior group (10–13, from October 2026) trains Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 18:00 and Saturday at 11:30.

Reading the timetable

  • Times are start times; the class length is shown next to each class (40–75 minutes depending on the class).
  • Flexible memberships (Ballet Set, Primary and Junior Ballet) let you choose which of the week’s classes you attend, up to the included number.
  • The live timetable in the app shows free places for the coming weeks, holiday changes and any one-off masterclasses.

Holidays and closures

On Austrian public holidays there are no classes and they are not made up — this is already priced into the monthly memberships. If the studio closes for renovation or a holiday week, everyone with a booking in that period is written to personally and affected classes are moved or refunded.

Questions

Times, places and holidays

01

When are adult ballet classes at ARTIS?

On weekday evenings — classes start at 18:00, 19:00, 19:10 or 19:15 depending on the level — plus Saturday at 11:30 (absolute beginners) and 15:00 (pointe) and Sunday at 11:30 (stretching). Absolute beginners train Thursday and Saturday; beginners with experience Tuesday and Thursday; the intermediate–advanced group Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

02

When are the children’s classes?

Pre-Ballet (3–4) Wednesday and Friday at 15:00 or Saturday at 10:00; Primary Ballet (5–7) Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 16:00; Junior Ballet (8–12) the same days at 17:00; Teen Ballet (12–14) Tuesday at 18:00 and Saturday at 13:00. Full times are in the list above.

03

Can I come to one class without a membership?

Yes. Every adult class can be booked as a single class in the app (€30–48). For children, a trial class is arranged through the studio.

04

What if I can’t make a class I booked?

Cancel in the app up to 24 hours before a group class (48 hours for a private lesson) and the class is not charged. Later than that, the place counts as taken.

05

Do classes run on public holidays?

No. Austrian public holidays are class-free and are already reflected in the monthly membership price.
